How is Fat Injection Done?

In the fat injection process, the parts to be removed and filled with fat can be anesthetized with local anesthesia, or if the procedure is large or if another surgical procedure is to be performed, general anesthesia can be used. It should be known that some of the fat transferred by fat injection will disappear within a few months and on average, 30%-40% of this amount will remain alive. This is the advantage of fat injection over the injection of ready-made fillers, which are 100% destroyed, meaning that fat injection is permanent.

Swelling (edema) and bruising (ecchymosis) may occur in the areas where fat is removed and where fat is injected, which may last for 3-5 days, depending on the size of the procedure.
