Eyebrow Lift Procedure

Eyebrows are structures that give both shape and color to the human face. For this reason, since ancient times, people have struggled to shape their eyebrows by thinning, thickening, shortening or lengthening them, and even changing their location. Especially since women were seen as more feminine, they made efforts to thin (pluck) and raise their eyebrows. Although thinning the eyebrows is a method that the person can largely do himself, professional help is required for the raising process. Although plucking the eyebrows completely and drawing a pencil is a common procedure in many parts of the world, methods that give more natural results are preferred because they do not provide a natural appearance.

Botox, which has developed and found widespread use in recent years, has become a miraculous method for women. This method, which can give great results in experienced hands, has become a frequently used method, especially for people who are hesitant about eyebrow lift surgery. It is possible to obtain the desired results for 3-5 months with an application that takes five to ten minutes.

How Many Methods Does the Eyebrow Lift Operation Consist of?

When more permanent and more effective results are desired, eyebrow lift surgeries come into play. There are various methods for eyebrow lift surgery, which can be performed alone or with facelift surgery. This method is performed by entering through the hair, above the eyebrow and on the eyelid. The method I have preferred in recent years for eyebrow lifting when performed alone is the endoscopic, that is, closed method, which is applied by making very small incisions through the hair. In this method, 2 or 3 1 cm incisions are made through the hair and entered with illuminated endovision devices, so the remaining surgery scar is almost non-existent. In this permanent method, the eyebrow area tissue is hung on the solid structures higher up, so it is a permanent method.

Along with these surgeries, it is possible to perform corrective surgeries on the eyelids. After this surgery, which can be performed with general or local anesthesia, ecchymosis (bruising) and edema (swelling) around the eye, which may last for up to a week, should be expected.
Apart from this, it is possible to lift the eyebrow with thread hanging methods for those who prefer a simpler method and avoid surgery. There are many types of threads developed for this and this application can be performed under local anesthesia. Although its longevity is slightly lower than surgery, it is among the frequently preferred methods.
